Methyl oleate is an unsaturated higher fatty acid ester, an important chemical raw material, and an intermediate in detergents, emulsifiers, wetting agents, and stabilizers. It is widely used in the preparation of surfactants, leather additives, textile auxiliaries, and non-fluorescent mud lubricants for oil exploration. It is also used as an adjuvant in insecticides.

1. In the pesticide industry, methyl oleate replaces toluene, xylene, and solvent oils. As a pesticide solvent, it is environmentally friendly and pollution-free, compatible with crops, does not easily cause phytotoxicity, eliminates pest resistance, has strong spreading properties, increases plant adhesion, is not easily washed away by rainwater, and has strong resistance to photodegradation, effectively reducing the degradation of pesticide active ingredients by photodegradation, maintaining good efficacy. It also has strong viscosity, resists drift, and can save on pesticide dosage. In herbicides, it can also be used as a synergist.

2. In the pharmaceutical industry, methyl oleate is used as a nutrient solution for cultivating various antibiotic vaccines. It can completely replace soybean oil as a nutrient solution, exhibiting superior performance compared to soybean oil.

3. In the oil drilling industry, Methyl Oleate is used as a non-fluorescent mud lubricant. It effectively improves the adsorption and wettability of mud and drill string metal surfaces, thereby reducing the adhesion coefficient. It has good thermal stability, good compatibility, and can be uniformly dispersed. It is currently used in cooperation with several oil companies.

4. Methyl Oleate can also be used in cosmetics, detergents, specialty lubricants, and textile auxiliaries.
