10-Methacryloyloxydecyl Dihydrogen Phosphate is a special organophosphate ester with bifunctional groups. Its molecular structure contains a polymerizable methacryloyloxy terminus and a phosphate group capable of forming chemical bonds with inorganic surfaces, connected by a long, hydrophobic carbon chain. This unique structure gives it excellent hydrophobicity and chemical stability in the moist oral environment, making it an indispensable core component for chemical bonding in modern dental restorative materials.

 

1:10-Methacryloyloxydecyl Dihydrogen Phosphate is used for self-etching bonding of dentin and enamel. This monomer plays a key role in dental bonding systems. Its terminal phosphate group can undergo a demineralization reaction with hydroxyapatite in human tooth tissue to form a stable chemical bond (calcium salt), thereby achieving a self-etching effect without the need for traditional strong acid etching, significantly reducing postoperative sensitivity and improving bond strength.

 

2. 10-Methacryloyloxydecyl Dihydrogen Phosphate is used for surface treatment of zirconia and ceramics. In the clinical application of all-ceramic crowns and zirconia restorations, this product is a core component of a highly effective surface treatment agent (primer). The phosphate groups can form covalent bonds with the metal oxides on the zirconia surface, overcoming the difficulty of bonding due to the inertness of the zirconia surface and ensuring the long-term stability of the restoration.

 

3. 10-Methacryloyloxydecyl Dihydrogen Phosphate is used to promote the bonding of metal restorations. This product has a strong affinity for non-precious metals (such as nickel-chromium alloys and cobalt-chromium alloys). In metal-ceramic crowns or fixed prostheses, as a bonding promoter, it can significantly increase the shear force between the resin adhesive and the metal substrate, preventing restoration detachment.

 

4. 10-Methacryloyloxydecyl Dihydrogen Phosphate is used for the modification of dental composite resins. In the development of dental composite materials, adding this monomer can improve the interfacial compatibility between the filler and the resin matrix.
